International
Adoption
Many families choose to adopt infants or
young children from abroad. Transcultural Community networks, support groups
and playgroups are often available for these families upon their
return home.
Adoption Options Provides Information, Contact, and Home Studies
While Adoption Options does not place children internationally,
our home studies are recognized and accepted by placement agencies
throughout the United States. The staff at Adoption Options can
provide you with the information necessary to decide if this is
the right choice for you.
Guiding
You Through the Home Study Process
As part of the home study process, we will help coordinate
services between Adoption Options, The United States Bureau of
Citizenship and Immigration
Services (formerly INS), and your placement agency. When the home study is complete,
Adoption Options staff members continue to be available for additional
resources or administrative needs related to the placement of
your child.

During the Post-Placement Period
Post Placement visits, required by most agencies, as well as
re-adoption services, are also facilitated by Adoption Options
social workers. The process of re-adoption through the United
States judicial system leads to the procurement of a new birth
certificate.
You
May Still be Eligible for A Domestic Adoption
Upon completion of your home study, even when pursuing an international
adoption, you may become part of our pool of waiting parents for
domestic placement if you so choose. There is no additional fee
for this service.
